The setting ticks all the boxes: an elegant 19th-century house in a charming cobbled courtyard, located close to Aarhus Harbour yet also within easy rich of the main streets. Danish ingredients are to the fore in good value dishes which lead with a Gallic edge, but there are international influences to be found here too, exemplified by the likes of roasted cod ‘Basquaise' with clam sauce, mild curry, fennel and Granny Smith or duck confit with crispy potatoes, braised endive, Madagascan pepper and bigarade sauce. Wines from their exclusively French and highly impressive cellar accompany.
