The Rotermann Quarter, a pedestrianised downtown district, was once a hub of industry, but thanks to modern redevelopment, is now a fun, vibrant part of the city. The collection of old buildings now host high-end shops, restaurants and residences, with the 19th-century stone powerplant now home to this wine shop and bar, where a glass-walled cellar takes centre stage. The room has a rustic feel and a laid-back vibe, and is matched perfectly by a Mediterranean menu offering the likes of lamb with vegetable ragoût, feta cheese and salsa verde or octopus with almond potatoes and pimentón aioli.
