In the foothills of the Virunga Mountains, where Dian Fossey spent her life studying mountain gorillas, this is One&Only's nature-retreat answer to its beach portfolio. Stilted wooden lodges incorporate local volcanic stone and traditional Rwandan imigongo geometric prints; some have outdoor bathtubs on the deck, others frame the encroaching bamboo and greenery from indoor baths.
