A 19th-century villa in Grottaferrata, in the Castelli Romani hills south of Rome, Villa Madre has four suites: Amber, Aquamarine, Emerald, and Pearl, each furnished and decorated in its own distinct style, from warm amber tones to emerald green furnishings and Venetian lagoon references. Handcrafted bed frames, natural material mattresses, and high-quality satin linens make sleep the central preoccupation. The private spa is reserved exclusively for guests and requires advance booking. Up on the rooftop solarium, a whirlpool and outdoor shower look out over the Grottaferrata rooftops.
