A superb destination that fully deserves its popularity! One of its greatest assets is its picturesque hillside setting, complete with a beautiful garden and lake views – needless to say, the terrace is a big hit in summer. But the interior of the long-standing Eder family inn is every bit as charming; tables are laid out in cosy traditional parlours and the airy, modern conservatory. The service is friendly and professional with a personal touch. Top-notch ingredients go into sophisticated dishes that are served à la carte or as a set menu. The extensive and very well-curated wine list deserves special mention. The lunch options are just as appealing.
"We have refurbished our premises to make it more energy efficient, in accordance with historic preservation, and we work with vegetables from our organic farmer, Reinhard Winter from the Wädenswiler Berg. We buy meat, game and poultry from Switzerland as far as possible. We recycle and work to reduce CO2, and our employees remain loyal to us for a long time."
