Modern Design & Lively
Three cannonballs are still lodged in the façade of Palazzo Boyl, souvenirs of bombardments by the English, Spanish, and French across three separate centuries. The building dates to 1840, raised above Cagliari's port on 13th-century Pisan walls, with the even older Lion Tower absorbed into the structure. The suites take their names from former lives: the Ballroom has soaring timber trusses, the Library keeps its original beams alongside blue Chesterfield sofas, the Kitchens their bare stonework, and On the Roofs delivers exactly what it promises, a terrace suite above the city with water views at sunset.
