Contemporary Classic & Happening
A Grade II-listed former shipping warehouse on Peter Street, built in 1868 and once neighbor to the Gaiety Theatre, Forty-Seven sits in a part of Manchester that witnessed both the Peterloo Massacre and the Suffragette movement. The 32 rooms were put together with a sleep consultant, with luxury linen, refined textures, and acoustic design doing the heavy lifting alongside beds with arched velvet backs and blackout blinds. The Peterman bar downstairs is themed around a fictional gang of safecrackers, with cocktails named accordingly, while Asha's restaurant upstairs carries the name and legacy of Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle.
