Set in the picturesque Puglia countryside, Masseria Almadava is a former 19th-century farmhouse now reborn as a private and tranquil boutique hotel. It does look rather grander than a farmhouse, however, with tall white walls and arches surrounding the verdant estate, although the six guest rooms have retained some rustic charm with stone walls and traditional tiled flooring. The outdoor pool is the heart of the hotel and also the place to start the day with an organic homemade breakfast, as well as wind down in the evening over al fresco dinners.
