An old car workshop in the artsy Telliskivi Creative City is home to this sister of Barbarea – and those in the know will recognise the concept. During the day, it operates as a bakery and café, while at night it comes alive as a buzzy bistro. The high-ceilinged room with its bold chequerboard floor and zinc ducting is dominated by an open kitchen, where a chargrill takes centre stage, and it’s here that the highlight dishes are created, from Savoy cabbage to tender deer. Many of the appealing Mediterranean plates are designed for sharing, but thankfully not the delicious saffron cake with pistachio ice cream!
