Built up gradually by the Hautz family since 1999, Leitenhof has the feel of a small hamlet rather than a hotel, a cluster of chalets and suites on a hillside above Scheffau, with the Wilder Kaiser massif as its backdrop. Aged timber, stone fireplaces, and fur throws run through the interiors; the Superior Chalets extend to 100 square meters with private saunas. The kitchen, led by Margarete Hautz and Alexander Schmiedhofer, pulls herbs from its own garden and sources meat locally. Head sommelier Maximilian Hautz oversees a wine list of over 100 bottles, served in hand-blown Riedel glasses from nearby Kufstein.
