Built in 1927 as a country estate farmed under lease from the neighboring Twickel Castle, Hoeve de Haar later served as a hunting lodge for the Stork manufacturing family, a dual history that earned it its national monument status. The seven rooms, each named by color and each with its own entrance, range from the deep-toned Red and Chinese rooms to the brighter Ochre and Aqua, with the 50-square-metre B&B Boutique Suite the most generous of the lot. An 18-hole golf course now covers the former farmland immediately next door, breakfast is served in the lounge with regional products from the honesty bar, and new owners Michel and Irma took over in 2025 with a focus on sustainability and personal hospitality.
