Sepp grew up farming in Valle Aurina, climbed in Nepal with Hans Kammerlander, and eventually fell in love with a woman from Florence, who left her city for him and the Alte Mühle. That story runs through everything here. The old mill in Campo Tures has been in the family for years, and Sepp and Beatrice run it with the kind of personal investment that is hard to manufacture. Rooms are built from Swiss stone pine, spruce, and larch, with views toward Taufers Castle or Punta della Cascata. The kitchen cooks from the Ahrntal valley, and the spa uses the same mountain stream that once drove the millstones.
