The long history and classic good looks of the Eastern & Oriental Hotel have rightfully positioned it as the grande dame of George Town. It’s also the only hotel here to sit in the privileged spot of on the seafront. Suites are spread across the original, refurbished Heritage Wing, which still sports its historic Moorish design details and impressive domed ceiling in the lobby, and the newer Victory Annexe, a 2013 addition to the hotel which is also home to modern amenities such as a fully equipped gym and an infinity pool overlooking the Andaman Sea. Other facilities include several restaurants and bars, a hair and nail salon, and more unusually, an on-site tailor.
