Today, as the Hotel Belvedere, it’s no less impressive — just a touch more low-key. After a thorough restoration, its decades-spanning historical charms are on full display, complemented by a touch of era-appropriate contemporary design; the result is a first-rate luxury boutique hotel on a modest, local scale.
Hotel Belvedere’s 19 rooms and suites are all unique, following the buildings’ historical floor plans; all are a thoughtful mix of contemporary and classic, and the comforts are uniformly high-end, though anything but ostentatious. Bathhouse at the Belvedere is a modern spa in an atmospheric space that recalls a classic European bathhouse; meanwhile the Lounge serves a menu of small plates alongside its wines, beers, and cocktails.
