The guestrooms push Art Deco motifs with scalloped wallpaper in navy and gold, brass-framed partitions separating sleeping quarters from copper soaking tubs, herringbone parquet underfoot. The design commits fully: even the three-story wine tower in the lobby feels like set dressing from another era. Lumen handles all-day dining with a menu that spans Taiwanese and European influences, while The Ailise Bar upstairs pours cocktails in low-lit private rooms. There is a small gym and meeting space tucked away. It is theatrical without tipping into pastiche, a hotel that knows exactly what it wants to be.
