Uluwatu is Bali's clifftop south, and Jumeirah's all-villa property up here is deliberately far from the island's busier corners. All 123 villas take their cues from Hindu-Javanese architecture: duck egg shutters, double-height beamed ceilings, mahogany furniture and deep freestanding bathtubs. A triple-tiered infinity pool descends toward the beach below. Akasa is the clifftop restaurant, with sweeping ocean views and a kitchen that matches the ambition of the setting; Segaran below it is more relaxed, with a Friday terrace that transforms into a street food market of local Balinese specialties. The spa is home to Bali's first authentic Royal hammam, a tradition traced to 14th-century Ottoman bathhouse culture.
