The spruce, traditional façade of this ancestral castle-farmstead hides a vibrant modern interior adorned in warm colours. The peaceful terrace feels light years away from Bellem. The establishment has acquired a faithful cohort of regulars, lured back by Inge Herteleer’s enticing set and à la carte menus. Her seasonal cooking throbs with generosity and is dotted with contemporary touches to which she adds a Mediterranean twist come summertime. The shrimp fritters are stuffed to the brim, while a suave cognac sauce enhances pheasant and green peas and mint contrast with fresh prawns. Searingly good food prepared on the spot!
