The old adage that everything is bigger in Texas holds true at J-Bar-M Barbecue. From the four custom-built smokers to the large dining space (indoors and out) to the broad menu, there's a lot happening at this barbecue joint in Houston's East End.
The menu is divided by Tex-Mex-inspired specials (think brisket tacos and quesadillas), a classic Texas BBQ lineup (meat plates, sandwiches and meats by the pound), and an all-day menu with creative comfort food like brisket lasagna and loaded baked potatoes, plus impressive grazing boards for groups. In other words, come hungry to feast on brisket with peppery bark, boldly flavored jalapeño cheddar sausage and smoky-sweet pork ribs with mac and cheese or Brussels sprouts with bacon.
