The wonderful painted ceiling – the work of artist Otto Zitko – is the first thing to catch your eye here. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. Among the Austrian classics on the menu is Wiener schnitzel with potato salad and lingonberries. For dessert, try the île flottante! In front of the building there is a lovely terrace shielded from the street by greenery. The location in the Karmeliterviertel is another draw – just a stone's throw from Schloss Augarten with its porcelain manufactory and museum, as well as its park grounds.
