Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
This charming Ardennes house is the quintessence of friendly generosity. The food is firmly rooted in tradition, albeit with the odd playful international touch from time to time. The chef blends fresh Mediterranean influences with vibrant Latin American notes and subtle Asian contrasts in his first-rate set menu with choices, without ever forgetting that the stars are the ingredients. His al dente linguine with confit lemon, parmesan and sardines is just as convincing as the grilled loin of veal flanked by provençal sides and a hand-made choron sauce. Deliciously eater friendly prices!
