A former livestock farm on the Smits family estate outside Milheeze, between Eindhoven and Venlo, Op d'n Kreijtenberg is now a 12-suite bed and breakfast run by mother and son Anita and Frank, the latter bringing years of restaurant and hotel experience to a property that is very much a labor of love. Some rooms have botanical wallpapers with mustard and amber accents, others have slate-toned textiles and copper lighting, with all ground-floor suites opening onto a private terrace. The Stippelberg Golf Course is immediately adjacent, the Stippelberg Nature Reserve a short stroll away, and breakfast arrives on a tiered stand with freshly baked rolls and local farm produce.
