The corner of Poydras Street in the Central Business District has hosted a beloved restaurant since the late 1800s, when Maylie's fed New Orleans for decades from behind this brick facade. Today the same building is Copper Vine, eleven rooms above a wine-forward pub rooted as much in Caribbean and Creole culture as in a straightforward love of hospitality. Rooms have soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows with locally made Pavy drapes, and original artwork throughout. The Terrace Suite, converted from the original attic with exposed brick chimneys and a rooftop panorama of downtown, is the one to book.
