The Allison Inn & Spa is set amid 35 acres of vineyards and woodland, less than an hour’s drive from downtown Portland. And while its architecture and interior design shows some European influence — this is pinot noir country, after all — the style is inimitably Pacific Northwest.
With 85 rooms and suites it’s substantial in size, and each unit is in turn generously sized, starting at nearly 500 square feet. Luxe touches like soaking tubs, gas fireplaces, and balconies or terraces are universal, and works by Pacific Northwest artists are plentiful, both in room and in the public spaces. Meanwhile the hotel’s spa is among the region’s finest, and the restaurant, JORY, serves modern Northwestern fare accompanied by wines from the Willamette Valley’s hundreds of producers.
