This restaurant will whisk you off to Osaka to discover the city's culinary speciality of kushikatsu (meat, vegetables or seafood skewers, coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried). A low-key setting provides the perfect foil to the chef’s virtuoso performance: shiitake stuffed with ginger-laced chicken, foie gras flambéed in Japanese whisky and wasabi or brochette of wagyu beef. Bold flavours depict the evening omakase menu, while the score is simpler at lunchtime. The quintessence of Japan depicted by dishes ranging from beef sancho to spicy caramelised stew, a gracious welcome and courteous service.
