At the idyllically located Landhotel Donner, diners sit in snug dining rooms where warm wood and pretty fabrics create a charming, traditional setting. The cuisine is classic and regional with seasonal influences; tempting choices include house-made jellied knuckle of pork with remoulade sauce and fried potatoes, or braised leg of wild boar in a liquorice jus with parsley root purée. Order à la carte or opt for the four-course surprise menu. Service is friendly and attentive. In the summer, the terrace to the rear of the building is a lovely spot. Now run by the third generation, the Donner family's hotel offers well-appointed, comfortable guestrooms.
