In a wonderful location at an altitude of 1 800m with panoramic views and right on the ski slope in winter, Hotel Seekarhaus offers more than inviting accommodation. Dining here is also a pleasantly informal experience, with an appealing à la carte selection to whet the appetite: think organic Wagyu burger or Backhendl (fried chicken) with potato and lamb's lettuce salad and cranberries, not to mention Kaiserschmarrn (Austrian pancake dessert) with two types of compote. Hot meals are served from 11.30am to 5pm, and a slightly shorter afternoon menu is available from 2pm. A spot on the glorious terrace with its fantastic mountain views makes for the ultimate experience, but if the weather is not ideal, Pulverturm is a good alternative – a free-standing pavilion in the middle of the terrace with a winter garden feel. It's also nice inside – Seekarstube beckons with its cosy fireplace. The service is friendly and relaxed, but at the same time staff are knowledgeable and attentive.
