Wood Hall

Trip Ln, Linton, Wetherby, UK
44 Rooms
Traditional Elegance & Quiet
Designed by Yorkshire architect John Carr in 1750, Wood Hall has accumulated an extraordinary amount of history. Norman conquest-era origins, a Cromwellian demolition, a boys' prep school that counted cricketer Len Hutton among its alumni, and a brief chapter as Britain's first pastoral and ecumenical center all precede the hotel it is today. Set across 100 acres above the Wharfe Valley, rooms run from Deluxe doubles, each dressed individually with hand-crafted beds, to spacious Executive rooms with countryside views. The Georgian Restaurant, the former school's day room, gives the dining experience an unlikely but fitting backstory.
