Housed within the imposing building designed by architectural firm Robertneun in the Lokdepot development, this compact restaurant is well worth seeking out. In the kitchen, set on a mezzanine above the dining space, the chefs create modern dishes designed for sharing. Seasonal ingredients take centre stage, with fermentation playing a key role – a theme echoed by the decorative jars displayed throughout the pared-back interior, which features clean lines, wood finishings and earthy hues. Capacity is limited to a few small tables, a communal table in the middle and the bar counter. The atmosphere is neighbourly and personal; service is friendly and adept. The team are happy to provide drinks recommendations, drawing from an exciting selection.
