At a remove from the village centre, right next to the train station, the former station café has been given a new lease of life by Takashi Kinoshita, who was previously to be seen in action at Château de Courban. Here, there are no frills: just an inviting, down-to-earth setting and well-executed traditional cuisine. Burgundy snails with parsley, hazelnuts and croutons, braised paleron of Charolais beef with marchand de vin sauce, blackcurrant tiramisu. Honest, flavourful dishes, with an affordable weekday lunch set menu. And, in case you were wondering, "Les Murisaltiens" are the inhabitants of Meursault.
