Seki is located on the ground floor of luxury hotel Argos, which was once a monastery built into a hillside that makes for a truly magnificent setting. Be sure to allow time for a stroll along the paths leading through the garden. Inside, you can have an aperitif in the romantic lounge and take in the breathtaking view of the valley, then move into the restaurant itself, which has that distinctively welcoming Cappadocian feel. In these splendid surroundings, diners tuck into local Anatolian dishes with a Mediterranean twist. For example, the chefs balance the sweetness of confit pumpkin with a light tahini paste, sesame seeds and chopped walnuts. The extensive menu encompasses classics such as mezze, salads and lamb specialities, as well as pasta and vegan options. Featuring some 300 labels, the wine list is certainly worth exploring.
