At the Ruca Malen winery, situated in Agrelo (in the department of Luján de Cuyo) just over half an hour to the south of Mendoza, guests can enjoy a dining experience that will live long in the memory. Its eponymous restaurant (the name comes from a Mapuche legend in which women walked with their heads bowed to avoid meeting the gaze of a handsome young god) is located on a beautiful estate with stunning views of the Andes mountains. The attentive staff encourage diners to sit back and relax and, if they wish, enjoy a glass of wine or freshly baked empanadas at the outdoor tables. The multi-course tasting menu balances creativity with accessibility and reflects the best of each season. Our recommendation? The grilled steak with potatoes, tomatoes and lettuce, a classic and comforting main course.
