Right by the lake, complete with a small harbour, this modern, low-rise building stands next to the traditional Krone restaurant after which it is named. Inside, an upscale contemporary decor with clean lines welcomes diners; outside, the terrace beckons. As for the food, the good à la carte selection of Mediterranean, French and regional dishes has a pronounced emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients, such as Thurgau rainbow trout and salmon from Lostallo. In addition, there are two three- or five-course set menus, one of which is vegan. The extensive wine list features over 160 labels. For a more casual approach, the separate "Krone Easy" self-service and takeaway concept operates throughout the milder seasons.
