Leuven’s urbanites don’t hesitate to desert their city centre in favour of a seat in this smart edifice. Natural light, artwork and a lovely terrace all combine to paint a pleasing portrait. First run your eye over the beverage menu and start with a refreshing glass of Gueuze beer, before moving on to peruse the wine list. The exquisitely presented dishes reveal unexpected combinations of ingredients, such as al dente confit of celeriac with cream of goat’s cheese and foie gras, smoked eel and chilled consommé of celeriac, eels and verjuice. At lunchtime, there is only a single set menu.
