The Art Nouveau façade of The Bristol Belgrade marks it out as one of the city’s original grand dames. Opened in 1912, this historic hotel was quite the hotspot during the Roaring Twenties and the Golden Age of the 1930s, when the likes of the Rockefellers and the British royal family came to stay. It’s now looking younger than its years (and its many nights of entertaining), thanks to a recent facelift — guest rooms have been refreshed with classic creamy shades, plush burgundy furnishings, and Art Deco-inspired accessories which nod to its heyday. The hotel’s bistro, The Dining Room, puts a contemporary twist on traditional Serbian dishes, and an elegant afternoon tea is served in The Courtyard and The Library. The complete spa experience offers a fitness room, hammam, and a range of treatments.
