Just next-door to the 12th district’s town hall, Guefen catches the eye courtesy of a glazed façade and tasteful contemporary interior. The chef crafts a single set menu, which keeps pace with the seasons and is rich in Middle Eastern influences and seafood. The bold but aptly named dishes bring the promise of virtuoso craftsmanship: tartlet of greater amberjack and puffed quinoa; gazpacho of cucumber with a coulis of spicy watermelon; red tuna lacquered in a veggie stock and jazzed up with a yuzu aioli and thyme-flavoured white carrots.
