Once a tavern, general store, boarding house, and even a cinema, Falsled Kro has lived many lives since its founding in 1744. Today, it is a peaceful cluster of farm buildings on the South Funen coast, lovingly reimagined as a 26-room inn that helped lay the groundwork for Denmark’s rise in the culinary world. Rooms are all individually styled, some facing the sea, others placed near kitchen gardens. The gourmet restaurant brings together French precision and local Danish produce, while the grounds invite long walks, fireside cocktails, and slow mornings by the coast.
