When Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui opened back in the ‘80s it was the first luxury resort on Koh Samui, just as the island was on the rise to become the world-famous destination that it is today. It still occupies one of Koh Samui’s best spots, hidden away amongst 28 acres of lush forest right next to a private beach and bay, meaning suites and villas come with some spectacular views, especially from the private terraces and outdoor tubs. The spa is complemented by several fitness facilities including two outdoor pools, a tennis court, gym and yoga room, while children have their own space in the separate paddling pool and kids club. The hotel is also home to a choice of three restaurants plus a regular program of evening events including beach BBQs and Thai street food buffets accompanied by live music and dancing.
