Extensive renovations helped transform the medieval fortress into the Burghotel Staufeneck, a luxury hotel with sweeping views over the green valley below. Some overlook the castle courtyard, and others face the heated outdoor infinity pool, part of the hotel’s stylish wellness center, which also includes Roman-style baths, an ice grotto, and a log-cabin sauna.
