Driving along the scenic route from nhow Marseille, which overlooks the sea from the side of the Corniche JF Kennedy, to south of Marseille's Old Port could almost think you were on the Riviera, were there just a few more Italian sportscars and a bit more seaside development. Inside the hotel the interiors are just as bright and sunny as the views, with immaculate white rooms jazzed up with pops of sunshine yellow, and most also come with a private balcony or terrace to take in the endless Mediterranean vistas. The fitness facilities are expansive — there’s an indoor and outdoor pool as well as Jacuzzis, a hammam and sensory showers — and the hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant overlooks both the pool terrace and the sea beyond, as does the third floor bar, one of two in the hotel. It's the best of several worlds, offering access to as well as escape from the city, and a break from the crowding of the seaside resort towns.
