In Palermo’s historic center, just off Via Maqueda, Locanda Santamarina revives an inn that once welcomed the city’s merchants and noble travelers. The 1900 building is now home to contemporary guest rooms, a fitness room, and a complete wellness area comprising a thermal pool, a Roman tepidarium, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, and a Himalayan salt room. Up on the rooftop local chef Giuseppe Calvaruso oversees the bistro, where modern Italian dishes are served with a panoramic view of Palermo.
