Malaysian owner-chef Hafizzul Hashim opened Fiz in 2023 to honour his native food culture. In addition to à la carte dishes and the vegetarian set, consider ordering his ‘full experience’ menu – an ode to his childhood with family recipes that pack a punch. The food is intricately crafted with Malaysian produce, and the main courses are served communal style to re-enact traditions. Also try the house cocktails and wine-food pairings.
"We support small businesses in Singapore and Malaysia by sourcing from them, as well as sharing storage knowledge to reduce produce spoilage. We smoke ingredients with recycled sugarcane fiber collected from hawker centers. In addition, our stocks and seasonings are made with trimmings and uphold heirloom recipes and forgotten ingredients."
