In fact its relative wildness and seclusion is a great strength of Onar Andros, a cluster of 18 low-profile, well-camouflaged villas and houses set between a quiet beach and a protected wetland.
The interiors are soothingly minimal in the classic Cycladic manner, dressed in a neutral palette that ranges from white to straw. Spaces are generous, both indoor and out, and the atmosphere is as tranquil as can be. The only choice to make is whether to be closer to the beach or higher up the hillside. Meanwhile guests gather around a communal table for informal meals crafted by Onar’s chefs from fresh local ingredients.
