Though it’s closer to the city of La Paz than to the resort towns of Los Cabos, Ámina Wind Resort feels secluded indeed. It’s placed here not for access to infrastructure, after all, but for the specific conditions that make it a perfect spot for pursuits involving the wind and the sea, from kite surfing and windfoiling to scuba diving and even spear fishing.
Here, being “off the grid” is a selling point, not a disadvantage. The vibe is more upscale adventure than five-star luxury, though with wi-fi and air conditioning it’s far from rough. The villas come with private patios or balconies, full kitchens, and in the case of the Beachfront Penthouse villas, rooftop Jacuzzis.
The activities on offer include hiking, mountain biking, padel, fishing, and “seafari” excursions, in addition to the aforementioned surf-adjacent sports. Cambujo, the restaurant, specializes in the local traditions of the Baja peninsula.
