Zeeland’s historic maritime academy was blessed with an extraordinary location right on Vlissingen’s seaside promenade — good news for apprentice sailors, but even better news for patrons of the building’s new occupant, the Hotel De Zevaartschool. The original structure is a national monument, and was thus carefully preserved, leaving the old students’ quarters compact and cozy.
