Once a traditional café, this place is now a no-nonsense bistro, complete with upbeat background music. Bar Beurre certainly lives up to its name. Just like in traditional French cooking, butter (beurre) is a key ingredient here, but this cuisine is not at all lacking in sophistication. For example, the chef uses it to prepare megrim à la meunière, which he serves with anchovies, broad beans and an exquisite beurre blanc finished with a dash of sherry. The short menu features dishes that are bold and playful. Le beurre, c'est la vie!
