Perched between Villa Belza and the Rocher de la Vierge, right above Port Vieux beach, Hôtel de la Plage reopened in 2022 after a full refit that kept its legendary address intact. The 20 rooms trade in deep teal and ocean blue walls, natural timber bed frames, and a mix of local artwork and ethnic touches that stop short of feeling decorative for its own sake. Ocean-facing rooms look straight out over one of Biarritz's most central and sheltered beaches. Breakfast can be taken on-site or packed to eat on the sand, and on summer evenings, the rooftop opens for tapas and cocktails with an unobstructed Atlantic panorama.
