Contemporary Classic & Quiet
Originally a 19th century blacksmith’s workshop, Auberge des Glazicks can trace its restaurant roots back to the early 20th century, when the current owner’s grandmother transformed the space into a farmhouse inn serving traditional dishes to both workers and locals. Like his grandmother and mother before him Chef Olivier Bellin still champions seasonal Bretagne produce, only now L'Auberge des Glazicks has grown from village restaurant to Two-MICHELIN-Star address. Since returning to the family home Bellin has also added eight individually designed guest rooms, which like his cuisine highlight quality natural materials such as granite, wood and pebbles. Some rooms come with a balcony, others a terrace which overlooks the bay of Douarnenez, and two of the rooms, “Molène” and “Menez Brug”, have a four-poster bed. A wellness area rounds out the facilities with a sauna, hammam, Jacuzzi and relaxation lounge, and breakfast extends the gastronomic experience with homemade bread, brioche, and cakes served alongside organic and local Breton products selected by the chef himself.
