Janice and Heiko Lacher are the perfectly coordinated duo at the helm here. Working in an open, fully visible kitchen, the latter presents his creative set menu "Mit Leib und Seele" ("With Heart and Soul"), which comprises five to seven courses, plus aperitifs, bread and petits fours. Dishes such as grilled Breton lobster, pickled melon, lime kosho and gado-gado sauce, or Nebraska prime beef with glazed asparagus, chipotle jus and tarragon are technically outstanding and exceptionally rich in flavour. Skilfully integrated heat and delicate acidity create pleasing contrasts throughout. Their motto "Weltoffen – Produktverliebt" ("Open to the world – in love with produce") could not be more apt. Tip: Oysters and caviar are available as optional additions to the set menu. Your charming and highly organised hostess attends to guests while also assisting her husband in putting the final touches on the dishes.
