Since 2007, this bright, modern restaurant right next to Colombipark has been something of an institution in Freiburg. Service is friendly and adept and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Showcasing regional produce, the ambitious seasonally inspired cuisine draws on French and Italian influences. The four- to six-course set menu comes in a "classic" or vegetarian version. On Mondays and Thursdays you can also order individual courses à la carte. Great selection of reasonably priced wines – courtesy of their own wine shop. Tip for motorists: Rotteck underground car park is within walking distance.
"Buzzwords such as "organic", "seasonal" and "regional" are not just passing trends for us, but our daily reality! We buy a lot of our produce at Freiburg Market, select suppliers, hunters and farmers strictly from the immediate vicinity, use green electricity and keep food waste to a minimum."
