Dating back to 1875, this traditional inn enjoys an idyllic location in Munich's Bogenhausen district, not far from the Englischer Garten. With its stylish yet cosy decor, the dining room oozes charm. The staff pull out all the stops to ensure a warm and personal atmosphere – the large number of regulars speaks volumes. Dishes are freshly prepared and full of flavour. The menu alternates between Bavarian and Austrian specialities – boiled beef from a fattened ox is as popular as Backhendl (breaded fried chicken), farmhouse duck or brook char fillet. Surrounded by greenery, the terrace makes for a wonderfully tranquil setting in summer. Reservations are recommended, not only at weekends! Immaculate, comfortable guestrooms are available for overnight stays.
